The Art of Enlightenment - Sacred Art Course, on May 10th, was a popular event. The course was taught by Gen Kelsang Losel who is the Resident Teacher of Avalokiteshvara Center and an accomplished thangka painter. 36 people attended the course. Some came from, as far as, New Mexico and Dallas to learn this traditional Buddhist art form. Whether they were skilled artists or amateurs, everyone had a wonderful time and created a beautiful image of Buddha.
There was so much interest that we weren't able to accomodate everyone who wished to attend. Check back on our website for the next art course.
